New at the Museum

We are constantly going through donations of personal artifacts from Scouts and Scouters of the past.  Some of the “Buried Treasure” are items we have been looking for, to add to our permanent collection exhibits.  Here’s are some things you should really come in to take a closer look at:

Added in February, 2024:

PATCHES in the “Racetrack”:

•  DWC ARROWHEAD District,  winter event 2006

•  DWC MASSABESIC District, Klondike Derby, 2022, 2023

•  DWC HISTORIC District, winter event 1999, Klondike Derby 2015

UNIFORM PARTS:

•  CUB SCOUT exhibit, Webelos-specific Belt Buckle

•  HIDDEN VALLEY Scout Reservation, rare custom Belt Buckle

•  NECKERCHIEF SLIDE, “God and Country”

WE HAVE A LARGE SELECTION OF ONE-OF-A-KIND “SEALED SAMPLES”, some going back to the beginnings of Scouting In America.  These were the prototypes of new uniforms, patches, awards and gear.  Only two items were.produced for approval before the larger commercial production runs.  A uniform dating back to 1920, bears the approval signature of the first National Scout Executive, James E. West.

Every time you come in, there is something different to see, that we may not have had, or displayed,  previously.                Plan to visit again soon!
